The experience
Fifteen minutes like nothing else
There is no jump. You face the wind, the wing is already open above you, you take three steps and the ground drops away on its own. After that, you only hear the air. You fly over Lalla Takerkoust lake, the olive trees of Ouzguita and the ridges of Aguergour, with the High Atlas behind. The pilot keeps the controls from take-off to landing.

We meet at Aguergour, then a 4x4 takes you up to the take-off spot above the lake.

Harness, helmet, safety talk: about twenty minutes. Three steps into the wind is all you have to remember.

What people ask before flying

Ask your questionIs it scary?
There is no jump, so you never get that falling feeling. The wing already carries you when your feet leave the ground. Most people who arrive nervous spend the last minutes looking at the view. Tell your pilot, and he will fly gently and avoid sharp turns.
Do I need experience or training?
No. This is a tandem flight. The pilot is licensed, sits behind you and holds the controls the whole time. Your only job at take-off is to walk three steps into the wind.
How fit do I need to be?
If you can walk a few metres on a slope and take two or three steps at take-off, you can fly. Tell us first if you have back problems, heart problems, a recent operation, or if you are pregnant.
What if the wind is not good?
We never fly in doubtful conditions. If the weather closes in, we move your flight to another time of day, to another day, or we give your money back if you are leaving Marrakech.
How long does the whole thing take?
Plan half a day: the drive from Marrakech, the 4x4 ride up, the gear and the briefing, the flight, then packing the wing and coming back. The time in the air is 10 to 15 minutes of that.
